DESIGN CONSULTATIONS FOR

INSTALLATIONS & DIY

All our garden projects start with a Design Consultation at your property. We discuss your vision for the landscape, exchange ideas and assess the site conditions. Photos are taken and then a followup report consisting of visual examples, referrals and other information is returned via email for you to consider and for us to discuss further. This report does not include an estimate as that can only be configured once we agree about what work will be done based on the design feedback created from our meeting (note - not all garden installations require to-scale layouts). Any design ideas that come from the meeting are yours to keep, along with the plant lists and other customized resources. For some people, this report is enough for them to take on the work themselves and not hire a landscape crew and a designer. When a professional installation is preferred, the cost/estimate can then be calculated.

Please be aware that we are offered more projects than we can accept, so a meeting does not guarantee we will be able to take on a project. We mainly look for projects that are biodiverse and will benefit wildlife, especially pollinators. A property fenced for deer, or where a homeowner is willing to add some form of deer fencing, will be given priority in order for us to focus on biodiversity and not be limited to the very few plants that deer reject.

The cost for an on-site Design Consultation and followup report is $200 if you are within 20 miles of the nursery and $250 between 21 and 35 miles away. We are currently only working in Ulster County and cannot consider other areas. We now partner with other ecological landscaping companies, and if we cannot take on your project, we might be able to refer you to one of our associates.
